An elite group of leading edge corporate leaders are now focusing on the fundamental core competency enabler for highly effective human resource capability: continuous breathing. Titans of industry such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs now swear by the practice, and have instituted company policies encouraging breathing within the workplace. ‘Breathing is the new frontier in human capability development – no one focused on it explicitly as a management competence before Foulds and Everett’, says well known serial breather Rupert Murdoch.

Everett and Foulds are the new gurus in achieving ‘Breathtaking Performance’ ©. Based on an extensive three hour research program, their key insight was to extend the thinking on core competenciesto its logical, and fundamental conclusion. ‘Leading companies have one thing in common – every one of their employees, customers and suppliers is involved in breathing’, said Everett at a recent Tobacco Industry Institute conference.

In fact, there is a clear causal link between poor breathing leadership and corporate performance. ‘Kenneth Lay isn’t breathing anymore, and look what’s happened to Enron’s performance.’

The beauty of the Continuous Breathing™ approach is its simplicity. Foulds and Everett have laid down ‘The Three Habits for Breathtaking Performance’© (Patent Pending):

Breathe In

Breathe Out

Repeat

‘I’m blown away by this. It’s astonishingly powerful’ says management guru Michael Hammer, who praises the simplicity of the three habits: ‘This is a 57% reduction incomplexity compared to Covey’s 7 Habits’.

Foulds and Everett’s consulting firm ‘Blow Me Away’ offers a wide range of products and services to support company breathing programs. These include the ‘Breathe on Your Feet’® program, the risk and compliance ‘Whistleblower Kit’®, and of course the ‘Hot Air’® political success program.
